Game Summary Pitch

A galaga-like game where you fight intrusive thoughts inside a brain/mind. The intrusive thoughts (brain bugs) fire projectiles that reduce the gameplay space.

Gameplay overview

The player controls a cloud that can shoot synapses to destroy the incoming waves of enemy brain bugz and their brain goop missiles. By avoiding and destroying the enemies, the player’s score will increase. The score slightly increases over time and each enemy gives a certain amount of points. The player wants to survive as long as possible while destroying as much of the brain bugs as well.

Theme Interpretation (Overcome by pushing forward)

The metaphor behind the game is about intrusive thoughts filling up the mind and the player, you, trying to fight back while being, sometimes, overwhelmed.
